Secure network services such as virtual private networking
(VPN) typically require minimal setup and configuration to
work with iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro devices.
Are VPNs becoming obsolete?
https://start.duckduckgo.com/?q=why+vpn+will+become+obsolete&start=1&ia=web
VPNs are becoming obsolete due to their security risks,
operational inefficiencies, and the rise of more effective
alternatives like zero-trust network access (ZTNA) that
provide better control and security for remote access. As
organizations shift towards cloud-based solutions, the need
for traditional VPNs diminishes significantly.
If you are an Apple users, you likely don't need a VPN for
basic security and privacy if browsing only with Safari.
Private Relay uses a single, secure connection to maintain
privacy and performance. This design may impact how
throughput is reflected in network speed tests that
typically open several simultaneous connections to deliver
the highest possible result. While some speed test
measurements may appear lower when Private Relay is
enabled, your actual browsing experience remains fast and
private.
